Your Dream of Owning A Restaurant Can Come True

I wrote this blog post in 2018, way before a Pandemic or COVID 19 entered our lives!

By some miracle on the internet or a prayer from blog/post heaven was answered.

Someone researched and found it!

I was surprised since I had written the post two years ago!

Good to know that if you are a blogger trying to helping and encourage people, don’t give up!

Anyway, my new client sent me a comment and asked for help making her dream of owning a restaurant.

We are currently communicating, and I’m going to do my best to help her!

I hope to add her to my start your restaurant business success stories soon. Stay tuned!

Besides being excited that she found my post, I was elated to see she wasn’t giving up.

COVID wasn’t going to stop her dream!

Your Dream of Owning A Restaurant Can Come True

Well, here is the post that inspired her to contact me.

Want to know how to make your dream of owning a restaurant come true?

The first thing you must do is turn your dream into a burning desire in your heart.

That is exactly what I did.

The way to turn your dream into a burning desire is to believe that your restaurant dream is achievable!

Now it’s important to turn your burning desire into a goal that must be achieved.

No matter where you are at this very time in your career, I want you to know anything is possible if you believe in yourself. If you can commit to doing everything necessary to own a restaurant, it can happen.

One morning, I got up and decided to quit the job that I didn’t like as a dental technician. I bought a NEWSPAPER and started looking through the wanted ads to find a new career and a happier path into my future.

That same day, I saw an ad “Lynbrook Delicatessen” Catering, and Deli cook needed no experience necessary and will train.

Being a cook didn’t sound too bad.

I sure knew what great food tasted like growing up with an Italian Mom.

The fact that experience wasn’t necessary, I enjoyed cooking and felt comfortable in the kitchen, I decided to apply for the job, and they hired me on the spot.

I prefer to call that time in life a divine intervention instead of being at the end of my rope.

Building Confidence & Gain Experience

The confidence and experience I gained there gave me the courage to apply for another casual restaurant job. I continued to hone my cooking skills. I started working nights at a sit-down restaurant and continued working in the deli/catering business.

After several years of working in the industry, catering companies, pizza places, private clubs, to white-tablecloth restaurants, I worked alongside culinary grads to European chefs.

I knew I wanted to own my own restaurant one day.

I made sure I got a hands-on feel for a variety of food establishments.

When I started my restaurant, I wanted to be sure it would be the right one before investing my life savings.
