I love Panera, their soups, sandwiches, and salad selections are the best. The choices and variety exclude no one…There is something for everyone!

My nephew is a baker for them I’m not partial but I’m glad he’s working for one of the good guys in the food industry!

I know bagels are pretty high in -carbs, but putting gobs of cream cheese or butter on them is what really is the problem!

No worries at this chain: Einsteins offers healthier alternatives like reduced-fat spreads, hummus, and peanut butter—a great way to add healthy fat to breakfast (or lunch). It also serves a Good Grains bagel that has an impressive 4 grams of fiber.

In the mood for a salad,”surprise” they have a decent selection and you can order any in a half-size.

My guess is you’re shocked! Right…

Have some faith in our All American McDonald’s they are overhauling their menu to offer more heart- and waist-friendly fare.

 

You have to commend them for spelling out the nutritional information right on the back of its tray liners.

Take the Happy Meals, which you can order with a side of apple dippers (with low-fat caramel) instead of fries and low-fat milk or fruit juice instead of soda.

Even the work-out gym hard bodies can’t go wrong with their 260- to 270-calorie Snack Wraps (choose grilled chicken) for protein without a lot of unwanted carbs.

And if you really have to indulge in fries, those at McDonald’s are made in a healthy canola-blend oil and come in at just 230 calories for a small order.

I do believe making the right choices no matter where you eat and what’s on the menu all comes down to YOU!

There’s enough nutritional information out there, educate yourself and don’t feel like you can’t eat on the run-some days you have to if you want to get to where you need to be…Just don’t go over the speed limit!
