A Fashion Designer Now Brands His Own Line Of Restaurants Not Rags To Riches Story But Close!

While working in New York City for fashion designer Oscar de la Renta, Matthew Corrin could not help but notice the many fresh food ‘mom and pop’ delis that are on almost every corner.

Many things are made fresh, but that does not always mean HEALTHY!

Something clicked inside him; perhaps the fashion industry, being around models and other designers, who struggled with staying slim, in shape, eating healthily and looking fabulous.

His wheels started turning, and his fashion talents spilled over into the food industry.

He realized an alternative ‘mom and pop’ deli serving only healthy options was missing.

Determined to brand one of those ‘mom and pop’ delis into his fashion plate of healthy options he started the  franchise called Freshii!

At the age of 23-years-old Corrin set out to add his own flair to the fresh food business.

He created a restaurant brand by making healthy food affordable and convenient and opened his first Freshii in Toronto in 2005. It was met by rave reviews and massive lines.

Eat. Energize. That’s the Freshii Motto.

The Freshii menu offers selections that are fiber-rich, slow-burning carbs, essential fats and lean proteins.

The menu includes custom-made green wraps, salads, quinoa bowls, and fresh pressed juices.

Freshii takes a stand by being good to the earth, eliminating environmental destructive staples: excess packaging, heavy energy consumption, and greasy processed meals.

Freshii was awarded 2013’s Top Franchise of the Year in Canada and is continuing to attract high-quality franchise partners, worldwide.

They are also making a significant impact through social media, where they have over 100,000 followers on Instagram, and their innovative mobile app, which helped them achieve the #8 spot on Restaurant Social Media Index’s Top Mobile Brands.

Today there are Freshii locations in over 75+ cities and 15 countries worldwide.

All this from a person who thought fashion design was his calling! Crazy, Right!

It Doesn’t Stop There!

Matthew Corrin is giving back in a very big way.

He is continuing to sharing his success through the financial revenues Freshii has brought him by being a part of Energize The World.

And one that is more recent, his concern for his fellow restaurant entrepreneurs that are in trouble and in jeopardy of losing their businesses.

Matthew is in tune to his industry maybe some of that comes from being in the fashion world, where things change so fast and hard work is only as good as yesterday. Whatever makes him tick has made me big fan!

To Stay In Business In This Industry It’s Important To Find Niche Longevity Not A Flash In The Pan Trend…

It’s no secret that being a restaurant owner is one of the toughest businesses to own. There are no guarantees; sometimes even good businesses fail.

Thousands of Frozen Yogurt Shops and Juice Bars are now struggling to stay in business, to no fault of their own.

“Owners of these niche brands are realizing that they are unsustainable.” Says Freshii Founder & CEO, Matthew Corrin.

I think Matthew Corrin has designed a cape with special powers by using his fashion design strength!

He has transformed himself into SUPER RESTAURANT HERO, not sure, if his powers will be forever but at least they’re available NOW!

FROM: Freshii Founder & CEO, Matthew Corrin

“As the Founder & CEO of a market defining restaurant brand, I am announcing a new initiative to help owners of struggling and over-saturated frozen yogurt shops and juice bars around the world. I call it: “From Froyo to Freshii.”

“Since founding Freshii in 2005, I have never cut deals when selling a Freshii franchise. Until now. With the help of our “From Froyo to Freshii” program, converting your frozen yogurt shop or juice bar to a Freshii restaurant will never be easier or more affordable.

For a short time, we are waiving our franchise fee for qualifying partners.

The challenge you face is real. Industry leaders admit that froyo revenues are declining. Juice bars have been closing all over. As one industry leader said, “The standard business model of the American juice bar just doesn’t work anymore. I challenge you to make your restaurant relevant again. My offer is real, and it’s a win-win. The time to act is now — before your froyo or juice business goes out of business.”

Franchise fees can be expenses, and they’re not for everyone! But Matthew Corrin’s offer to help his fellow entrepreneurs those in the healthy niche is not something you see happen often-waiving a fee is unheard!

I want to mention two very important things that show the strength of Matthew’s character  ONE –he changed careers not an easy feat by any means. He started in the fashion industry and ended up becoming  extremely successful in the restaurant industry.

TWO he’s giving back, the restaurant industry gave him the opportunity to help people eat healthy, live better and help fellow owners.
