While working in New York City for fashion designer Oscar de la Renta, Matthew Corrin could not help but notice the many fresh food ‘mom and pop’ delis that are on almost every corner.
Many things are made fresh, but that does not always mean HEALTHY!
Something clicked inside him; perhaps the fashion industry, being around models and other designers, who struggled with staying slim, in shape, eating healthily and looking fabulous.
His wheels started turning, and his fashion talents spilled over into the food industry.
He realized an alternative ‘mom and pop’ deli serving only healthy options was missing.
Determined to brand one of those ‘mom and pop’ delis into his fashion plate of healthy options he started the franchise called Freshii!
At the age of 23-years-old Corrin set out to add his own flair to the fresh food business.
He created a restaurant brand by making healthy food affordable and convenient and opened his first Freshii in Toronto in 2005. It was met by rave reviews and massive lines.

The Freshii menu offers selections that are fiber-rich, slow-burning carbs, essential fats and lean proteins.
The menu includes custom-made green wraps, salads, quinoa bowls, and fresh pressed juices.
