Amusement Theme Parks & Theme Restaurants Success Formula
Their themes always offer a great source of entertainment.
They provide an unforgettable ‘in the moment’ experience.
There’s no questioning the popularity of themes!
Judging from the number of people visiting themes, their popularity just keeps increasing.
So, what is it about these themes that make them so appealing?
The number one reason is they offer kids, teens, and adults a chance to escape to a fantasy world.
Theme Parks
Park Themes, offer rides, unforgettable shows, and wild animal interaction.
In my home of Tampa Bay, we are fortunate to have Busch Gardens.
It opened on March 31, 1959.
The park was originally known as “The Dark Continent” because of its African theme. The park is one of America’s largest zoological institutions, with 335 acres and more than 2,700 animals.
The number of attractions is hard to keep track of every few years a new themed ride or attraction is built to satisfy those looking for thrills and fun!
Attractions include:
Montu, Kumba, Scorpion, Edge of Africa, Jungala, Sand Serpent, Congo River Rapids, Saga, Tanganyika Tidal Wave, Stanley Falls, Serengeti Railway, Phoenix, Sesame Street, and SheiKra, a vertical dive coaster, Cheetah Hunt, a triple launch roller coaster. Falcon’s Fury, a drop tower, Cobra’s Curse, a steel roller coaster, Tigris, steel launched roller coaster, and this year 2022, the park will open a new hybrid coaster.
Theme Restaurant
A restaurant theme offers “eatertainment!”
Even if it’s only for a few hours.
Today’s theme restaurants offer a wide array of attractions ranging from visual and sound spectacles that delight the senses to menu creations, and table and chair design to name a few.
In addition, popular themes use well-known movie themes and concepts that appeal to both children and adults.
Take the Rainforest Cafe
The experience is designed to remain the same, casual dining in the middle of the rainforest.
What makes it entertaining right from the start? The loud and distracting storm that happens every 17 minutes or so in Cafe. Lights flicker on and off to mimic lightning! An animatronic gorilla beats its chest and the sounds of an elephant trumpeting.
Do You Have A Theme for Your Startup Restaurant?
Your theme is your identity!
It is how you connect with your customer, on a personal level, and how you deliver appetite satisfaction.
So, with stiff competition in the restaurant and food business, it is challenging for a restaurant to thrive.
One of the most efficient ways to drive more customers to your restaurant is by creating an attractive and engaging restaurant theme.
The Rainforest Café is a great example of a successful theme that attracts all ages!
Each Cafe has Safari Guides (waiters and waitresses), Tour Guides (hosts and hostesses), Pathfinders (retail sales associates), Navigators (bartenders), and Safari Assistants (bussers)
There are currently 27 Rainforest Cafes worldwide! Rainforest Cafes are from Atlantic City to Dubai, and a new location just opened in Jakarta. They all feature the “The Wild Bunch”, Rainforest-themed mascots including Cha! Cha! the red-eye tree frog and Bamba the Gorilla.
